Do You Think The Venture Of Bodyshop With French Cosmetic Loreal Is A Good Idea?

Loreal Cosmetic is the world's largest cosmetic company which has its headquarters in Paris. On the other hand Body Shop is an international brand which has its stores in 54 countries of the world. It is the second largest franchising cosmetic company in the world. Now, if both the companies are already getting huge world cosmetic market share then why would they prefer to go for a venture. I am not saying that this idea is wrong. I must say that it would be a very successful venture, if it happens but the different visions of the two companies can create issues as well. Both are providing good cosmetic products in the world market and are earning high profits. If there is a venture between the two then the market will move towards monopoly. I think there should be more competition instead of monopoly. As the competition will surely benefit the consumers. For example, Yahoo tried to control over Google, to kick Microsoft out of the market but this did not happen because Google is a profitable company. Why would it go with Yahoo. Anyways I hope you are clear about my point of view.
