Which Scenario Would You Fear The Most?

I tend to ask serious questions so this question is just for fun. Which would you fear the most. Sea levels rising or falling? Which in your eyes do you see as dire?

Tor me it's the contrary. We would cease to exist without water.

So you are telling me that you would rather drown than dehydrate? You selected rising water and yet you seem to prefer receding waters. Contradiction is what I see here. Life is entirely impossible without water. However as a consolation, with rising water life will still exist

I live on Long Island, so I have to say rising water scares me the most.  I remember my sister being brought home from school in a row boat.   It was only two blocks, but you get the picture.  If the polar ice caps keep melting, we'll be among the first to go.  I can tread water for only so long.

With all the flooding around here lately I would say rising water. After thinking about the question though, if the waters receded too much we would be in deep trouble too. Peace

Yes, both scenarios are dire no doubt. The difficulty in the question is to choose which one is more dire.

I would rather have the water rise, as I always see my glass as half full.

Both, if you mean the water is drying up in order to fall then that would be devastating we need water to live. - now if it we're just to rise as in a flood over a long period of time we do have the ability to build or have large (by large i mean city sized) water craft to live on but over time we would run out of food unless we had time to build ships just for crop growing(floating farms). Then your talking a major league dream/nightmare scenario. Like the flood of Noah's time for everyone who did not have a place on the ark so to speak. Ever seen a Kevin Kasner film called water world?

Sea levels rising would be great! HAH! It'd show all those fat cat's that own beachfront property and I'd laugh at them :P The sea levels rising would certainly cripple our dependency on china as all of our ports would be flooded rendering them mostly useless.  If you worry about this stuff you must be a wreck when the tide rolls in/out.  Haha just kidding.  Well to put a more serious answer out there.. If the levels rose it would mean that the ice caps have melted.. Which would probably point toward really really bad weather.  But if the sea levels fell it would also probably be due to an ice age.  I think I'd rather deal with bad weather than an ice age.. However an ice age would totally be cool. I've always thought it would be cool to live on an ice planet after watching Star Wars ESB.. Heh.  I think our planet would look a lot more like mars if we didn't have any water, like you mentioned.  Life wouldnt exist and everything would probably turn the same color eventually... Dirt.

Ok.. Can we convert the rising salt water into fresh water to drink? If we can, then let it rise..I always wanted to live on a boat. Imagine whole floating cities... Everyone paddling their little row boats wherever they have to go. We would get much more exercise that way, be a healthier race, and smog would finally dissipate. Yeah..I could live with that. :)

I live so close to the beach that rising sea levels scare me the most. I have nightmares about tsunamis. Which i know is a different issue from rising sea levels. But now i have something else to add to my nightmares. I am seriously considering moving just a little further inland. Really. Hey, I have really vivid nightmares....

I can't really say for sure, as both would be devastating to the earth. I think the lack of water might be more dire, as for water for people to drink, and for things to live. On the other hand, too much water would kill things off, as well as people and animal. We would have to relocate in either instance. Like it?

Right now love, I think you are in the wrong, I value you as a friend, but you are NOT listening to me!!!! I had nothing to do with the tiggersmom group!!!!! I tried to tell you that this kid looks up to me. I DIDN'T ASK FOR IT!!!!! You are in the wrong for being mad at me. I am so sorry that you think this way, I love you, and it definitely hurts to lose you!!!!! You have no idea how wrong you are here!!!! In fact, I have always admired you, you are so smart for your age, and I thought that you were above false judgment!!!!! I love you, and I will mourn the loss of you in my life, but I beg you to rethink what you judged of me. Jacki ♥♥♥

Tiggersmom, I am not mad at you or anyone for that matter. I think that you are a wonderful person. I did put a song on my profile describing our departure and our short but sweet friendship(a very difficult choice to make). I am not doing this out of jealousy or hatred by all means. And I assure you, I am above false judgement. Morally speaking, that group was practically set up in means of worship(I did read the things said). I understand that the girl admires you but this is just ridiculous. You do not need me to explain what is wrong with that picture. Tiggersmom, I know you love and support this group. And that is fine. People who have truly had an impact on the world are omitted(I do not need to explain why). However, one who humbly accepts a reverence in their name is not the kind of person I want to be acquainted with. Tiggersmom, you were very good to me and I see why that girl has admired you so. I certainly applaud you. Just keep doing what you do. Bounce to heights never imaginable!

Wow! I fear the sea level rising and drowning me. I am afraid of deep water and do not like the thought of being up to my neck in water. Just the thought of water getting so high and overflowing the banks of the rivers and ditches is enough to get me panicky. I think that having the sea level lower is more dire. People running out of or low on water is a horrible thought. People would panick and the price of water would skyrocket and people might resort to more crimes in order to get water. I am a panicky person as you can tell! :)

Rising water holds my breath and gives me the feeling that my heart is in someone devilishes hands. It makes my mind feel that sky is going to fall on a grain of sand, even worse than that to be put in words.

I would have to say rising is scarier for me. The world is already so highly populated, and we need the land. We have enough water anyway.
