Yes, eating ANY wild animals is a good way for a dog to contract parasites and diseases, especially coccidiocis, which is an intestinal parasite. Many birds carry this protozoan, which can be difficult to eradicate, and some lizards do as well. Dogs should always be discouraged from eating wild animals.
