Believe it or not males have problems with their nipples too. It could be something to do with hormones, puberty, infection or reaction to stress. It may be something very simple, but if it concerns you consult a physician.

    Hi
My son also had a lump under his nipple. The doctor said not to worry that is was hormones. It went away on its own.

Hi, i have just discovered a lump under niple of my 11 yr old boy, it is tender and has grown within a week, he is very slim and fit and eats a healthy diet. I have had breast cancer myself three and half years ago so I'm obviously concerned. Saw the doctor four days ago and he is referring  to paediatrician due to my history. I have been reading lots on Internet and it seems to be very common for boys to develop lumps under nipple at this age, but it best to get it checked out.

I have it too and i'm fourteen years old. My Doctor says it's just puberty and they aren't getting very big. (Phew it's not an ulcer!) Just make sure no one gives him a nipple cripple!

Int to the doctors about it its just a thing that all boys go through from the ages 9-15 but if you hurt it or hit it than it can stay there for a while and it can hurt you if you hurt it.

Hi there, i am currently fourteen years old and has discover a 1cm by 1cm lump under my left nipple. Although it takes many years to go through puberty, i am well on my way so i do not understand how i could receive such a lump. I am concerned because through generations of my family, family members have passed away due to cancer, my mom has recently discovered a lump in her breast as well. I am very nervous but when i searched for more information, all these articles were brought to my attention. It seems to be that every 1/500 young, male teenagers who have discovered a lump is due to a disease or cancer. No matter what, i will be seeking medical attention, but if u have any suggestions just to calm me down, that would be great. Thank you
