Buddha's name was Siddhārtha Gautama. He was a Spiritual Teacher and founder of major religion Buddhism. His Exact time of birth and death are not known. He was said to be born in 563 BCE in Lumbini and raised up in Kapilvastu, where he spent 29 years as Prince. Both of these are located in today's Nepal.
