Installing a mp3 player is just as easy as counting numbers on finger tips. You need a mp3 player software that you can download from any software website you can search from internet. You can install windows media player 11 or Jet Audio or Real player new versions from www.download.com

If you are talking about something on your computer to play MP3s then you can just use Windows Media Player (if its a windows PC) or Quicktime (if its a mac).
If you are talking about a physical device then there is a lot of different mthods.
Generally USB devices on windows will self install, just plug them in and windows will do the rest, some may require special software in which case you will need to use the CD/DVD that came with your mp3 player.
