Hyde is a town located in Greater Manchester in England. It comes under the category Metropolitan Borough of Tameside. One of the best things that this place has to offer is Werneth Low Country Park which today is the location for the Hyde War Memorial Trust. One can reach Hyde through 4 railway stations; namely, Hyde Central, Hyde North, Newton and the Piccadilly - Glossop - Hadfield line. The name of the place comes from the word ‘hide’ which is actually a measure of land that is the equivalent pf 120 acres or 0.5 km².The name finally caught on by 1830. In the olden days Hyde was largely successful owing to all the cotton mills that were situated and functioned here. There is also a town hall present in the market area as well as a clock tower called Oud Josh.
