Why Would A Poodle Go Bite A Child That Is Going To His Food Bowl?

Answer Question

4 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Some dogs are protective of their food, this is a resource for survival.  They will become aggressive when other animals or people come near or try to touch the food.  This is called food aggression.  Aggression toward humans in any form is unacceptable and tends to escalate.  Ask your veterinarian for recommendations of good trainers in your area, it will help if you have a trainer who will come to your house.  The sooner you gain help and start behavioral modification the better--you do not want to wait until this dog bites a child or adult.
