Why can't we get a chance to prove ourselves locally? Most companies want you to train over the road for a crazy amount ot time...I can't be away from home, I am a single mother!

Most companies will work with you to find a route/job that you can handle you just have to talk/go through a lot of interviews to find one. Since you don't say where your from i can not look up any info for you. You could try the truckers net and talk to other women that have went through the same thing you are going through.or try to become a specialized carrier/fuel/railyards/yard jockey. Hope this helps.
