The next summer Olympics, known as Games of the XXIX Olympiad, are going to be hosted by Beijing, China from the date August 8th, 2008 till August 24th, 2008. The opening ceremony is going to be held around 8 pm on August 8 as number eight is associated with the growth and prosperity of China.
Events like beach volleyball, sailing and swimming's new marathon a ten kilometer event, are all said to be held near the coastal city of Qingdao. On July 8th, 2005, the international Olympic Committee declared that Honk Kong will be hosting the equestrian events at the location of the Hong Kong Sports Institute in Fo Tan, Sha Tin. The total number of Athletes taking part in the Olympics are said to be around ten thousand five hundred. There are going to be three hundred and two events covering twenty eight sports.
