No, that's not wrong. However, you should think what's best for you. Who ended the relationship? If you think he's cute maybe you should try to get back together... However, since it is your life and your relationship in the first place you most probably should imagine what it will be to be with him again and if that's what you really want.
If I were you, I'd try to forget him and turn my attention to the other million cute boys around you. First because if the relationship didn't last then it probably ended for a good reason. Second, because there are many boys out there who can make you happier than he ever did and who are most probably way hotter than he is :). Trust me, if you focus on others you'll soon stop noticing him even when you pass each other in the hallway.

No there is nothing wrong with thinking that your ex is cute. I mean i still find some of my ex's very cute but i don't let that stop me from making my new relationship the best. You should do that it is never wrong to think of someone you were involved with emotionally is cute but don't let it interfere in a possible future relationship
