You shouldn't forgive lie. If he lied to you one time then he will lie to you in the future. You should make a decision here. Tell him clearly what you think about him and give him some time to think, otherwise, leave him.

There is one simple thing that you need to do! Just simply tell and inform him on his face that If his habit of lying and bringing over pros doesn't end Uptil a given deadline, then you are surely going to abandon him. Tell him that his time, you are highly serious and will not tolerate any lame explanations.
I think he will comprehend your dilemma and will work it out your way!

You said your threats to leave him haven't worked, and that's the problem. He knows you're bluffing, so why should he change? If you would carry out your threat, he will change, or you will be out of an abusive relationship. It's really up to you.
