Cymbalta withdrawal may last anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months. In fact the symptoms are so severe that Eli Lilly, the company that manufactures cymbalta stringently warns against the abrupt discontinuation of the drug. Cymbalta withdrawal symptoms include pins and needles sensations, dizziness, difficulty sleeping, nausea, headaches, insomnia, nightmares, agitation and anxiety.
While discontinuing cymbalta, gradually weaning yourself off the drug is the best possible method. When a patient suddenly stops the intake, this will inevitably lead to the above disagreeable withdrawal symptoms. A patient experiencing such symptoms is advised to seek a physician's guidance, who will most likely administer small doses of the drug for a while before discontinuing it completely.
Cymbalta is a drug usually used to treat people suffering from MDDs that is Major Depressive Disorders. Its scientific name is Duloxetine hydrochloride and in some parts of Europe it is referred to as Ariclaim or Xeristar.

Cymbalta is an antidepressant belonging to a group of drugs called selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SSNRIs). It is used to treat major depression related problems and also to cure nerve damage in people with diabetes.
However, like any anti-depressant, there is an increased risk of suicidal behavior at the start of consumption of the medicine especially if you are below 18 years of age. It is important to be under medical supervision during the phase of drug consumption. The doctor has to check to regularly the patient for at least the first 12 weeks of treatment. The side-effects associated with cymbalta arte nauseas, restlessness, clay-colored faeces, dark urine, vomiting, throbbing heart-beat, and fever. It can take any thing from 2 months to 18 months to come out of the withdrawal symptoms experienced after taking Cymbalta. Drink a lot of chamomile tea and pure vegetable juices to get rid off the withdrawal effects faster.

You should NEVER stop your pills cold turkey, you should ween off AFTER talking to your doctor. The withdrawal symptoms will be strong the first 2-3 days for me. Then afterwards I get better day by day for about 2 weeks. The symptoms will still be there for this period but not that bad, easy to deal with.
I got withdrawal symptoms every time I changed my dosage a little lower, so plan ahead, do it when you have time off and do something you like and avoid stress because stress increases the symptoms.
My symptoms were as follows:
Feeling of sadness for 2 days when going 60 - 30mg.
Nausea
Tiredness
Very Anger and irritable for 2 days when I moved to 0 mg
Increased susceptibility to caffeine
Very dizzy, worsened when angered
Light headedness
Spine shivers

Hello. Does anyone experience the "quacking duck" sound accompanied by a dizzy feeling when you move your eyes sideways? The headaches are pretty bad also. I started coming off about a month ago. I was on 60mg. Which I started taking every other day for the first 10 days. Then I went to every third day for another 10. Now I'm in my third 10 day set of every third day but at about 30mg. No matter what the know-it-alls say, it's been murder for me and my wife and kids. I had no idea any of the stuff I was experiencing was so common. I have the anger flare-ups and the nausea, but only once in a while. The quacking duck sound is enough to drive anyone crazy. During the last few days I've been taking 1 advil with one benadryl. It worked for the headache and the duck for 2 days, now it's not helping at all. I was reading here that this could go on for months. Great! At least I have that to look forward to. Thanks, Daffy

Hey quacking duck. I too experience it when moving my eyes sideways. My husband was laid off and we cannot afford cymbalta where we live--it's over $1000 per month. I take 90mg daily and had no choice to not take it. Does anyone know of a natural way to help the side effects? I was put on it for depression. My doctor told me that is was probably the last one that would help me--I've tried them all. It does work for me but now I have no choice but to stop.
Mine is more like a noise similar to tuning the radio in between stations, (white noise). It happens when I move my eyes side to side. Even with the eyelids shut. Very annoying. I am also much more irritable, and dizzy. I am not having the nausea and other symptons. Thank God. Has anyone called Elly Lilly with this information?
So people are taking other meds and more natural foods. I've seen camomile tea, pure vegetable juice, omega 3, benadryl, ibuprofen. Anyting else?

I've been totally off for about a month. The zaps stopped about a week ago. I find that really good workouts seem to lessen the withdrawal, though now I'm experiencing mild vertigo, and I really don't want to work out. Anyone else have the vertigo after being off for so long? I can't decide if I should go see an ENT or just wait it out.
