Why Would You Have White Matter On The Brain Instead Of Grey Matter Like There Is Supposed To Be?

My wife has a fissure on her brain an the radiology said that there is white matter in it but the brain is supposed to have grey matter only

    Brain consists of both white matter and gray matter. The grey matter cover the white matter. It consists of closely packed neurons cell bodies. This part control muscles movement and sensory organs. The white matter consist of deep parts of brain and superficial parts of the spinal cord. It contains thalamus and hypothalamus. So brain contain both matters.
