I presume that you are asking about chlamydia. On that assumption: It is a sexually transmitted disease similar to gonorrhoea and syphilis. Fortunately for humans, they are all caused by bacterial infections, not viruses, and as a result they are easily cured by an antibiotic course of treatment in a relatively short time.

I was checked today because i am having itching and i hurt when i sit down. I was told that i have a lot of white blood cells that it could either be this std or a regular infection. I won't find out for a week. I want to know how long this std can be in your body before you start having problems with it.
