My Dog Is Having A Bleeding Problem Along With Scabbing And Swelling. He Is A Hunting Dog, This Condition Occurred After A Session Of Hunting. What Is Wrong With My Dog?

You say your dog is bleeding and has scabs and swelling yet you give no indication where this swelling and bleeding is, nor how severe it may be. I think this would be sufficient cause to take your dog to the vet to have a check up, it may save his life.

If there is scabbing there are lesions, and these can become infected very easily and cause the dog suffering and even death, as they can deteriorate very quickly, and you can not ask if he or she is in pain, so take the dog to a vet who is trained to make these evaluations.

You say he was injured in hunting, but you do not know how. You should be more attentive to your hunting dog, since he is serving you, and therefore deserves better care and the regular check ups that a vet can give him.

Please don't delay any longer.

It could be that the dog was running and something just cut him. Hunting dogs are very devoted to what they are taught, and they will do their job no matter the consequence.(Just like Ididarod dogs love to run) Keep it clean, I have heard that you can use bacitracin(human anticeptic salve) or neosporine, which is said not to be toxic to the animal.
