5 Things to do please

Answer Question

Marina del Rey in California is a really exciting place to visit.  There is a huge range of things to do and see, which are quite unusual and different from the usual 'holiday' outings.

Here are 5 things you must to do:

    1. First of all you must visit the beautiful Fisherman's Village.  This is a real haven for anyone who is into watersports.  You can do any water sport here, but if that is not your thing, then you can just watch people on the water, go shopping at the great shops or go on a cruise or tour, most of which use this as their setting out/return point.  A fantastic way to spend some time.
    2. Take a waterbus!  Just park the car and come aboard.  The waterbus stops at 6 different points along the Marina, so you can just hop on and off whenever you want.  It really is a great way to see the Marina and you get to see some of the most exclusive residential areas in California.
    3. Visit the Venice Canals.  In the early twentieth century a millionaire created a 'model' community based on the Italian city of Venice.  So you can just stroll along and imagine you are in Italy.
    4. While you are in "Venice" why not take a trip along Abbot Kinney Boulevard, which is the heart of the creative and very chic community which flourishes here.  There is a whole host of cafes, shops as well as boutiques and excellent restaurants.
    5. Take time out to go birdwatching.  There is a myriad of birds to be seen and it's a great chance to get back to nature.
