My daughter has been suffering from bad dreams. So you can name the character Ashley. She is 9 years old and in the 3rd grade. If a book came out about what she is going through, I would buy the book and read it to her. Then she would understand that she is not alone.

If I were you I would use a search engine or just think of girl's name. I would choose the one with a name that sounds scary.
