When I go to a place I have never been I like to go to the local chamber of commerce and get info on all the things to do, and schedule my families entertainment around that,
we check out local museums, zoos, and landmarks, also ask around for local places to eat. We usually go to someplace where there is a beach, so we spend a couple of days just playing on the beach, relaxing. Your hotel should also have info for you on places to see. The best thing to do before you go is to check out the area online, there may be things to do in nearby towns as well
