The first man to achieve the feat was the West Indian Gary Sobers playing for Nottinghamshire against Glamorgan at Swansea in 1968. Two other men to have achieved the same are Ravi Shastri, playing for Bombay against Baroda in 1984 and Herschelle Gibbs, playing for South Africa against the Netherlands in the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
