My brother is so cubby that his neck rubs and it's raw and I need to know what to put on it.

Get an ointment from the store in the baby section called A&D ointment if you find it in your area. Clean the site well, and apply liberally to the affected area, and leave it uncovered. Make sure that you keep all clothing and bath items clean, and let it heal like that for a day or two, then move over to baby or talcum powder and instead of the ointment, use just the powder, liberally. This should help. Good luck to you.

Keep it as clean and dry as possible, even if it means frequent care during the day. Make real sure you gently pat it dry leaving no moisture. It is moisture that stays there that makes the rash develop and get worse. I would try either some hydrocortisone cream in the area or as weird as this sounds- try some Desitin. It has zinc oxide in it and should help dry up the raw rash. Honestly I would avoid powder because if a baby inhales it, it could cause a respiratory problem. But if it does not clear up soon with your home treatment, better go see the doctor- may need a stronger prescription. God bless. Give him a hug for me!

You want to try to keep it dry, free of moisture, try rubbing a little baby powder under the folds of the baby's neck.
