What's Better? Digital Or Film Loading Cameras?

Answer Question

6 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

I have both and prefer my digital camera. I don't have to buy film anymore and I can take a ton of pictures and then decide which ones to print. Plus I can fix the red eye and crop the picture if I want. But with some of the digital cameras there is a delay from the time you click to take the picture and when it actually takes it. Especially with some of the more inexpensive ones.

Digital cameras are better in my opinion, they are more versatile and you do not need to by film!

Really, it is a matter of opinion.  There are those that swear by their film cameras...and for some good reasons!  The ONLY real downside to a film camera is the film.  The cost of processing it, and then the cost incurred by NOT being able to use all of the pictures exposed on the film.  However, that is the upside to having a digital camera.....you can take as many pictures as you want...discard the ones you deem unusable, and yet you still have the use of that space for additional photos.  No loss of film "space".  Like I said it is basically a matter of opinion.  I have both, though I lean toward my digital, I still use my film camera at times.  I will say it is getting harder and harder to find film to use.  Hope this help! Thanks, Janes.

Digital camera is the best. I have a cannon digital camera. It is very easy to use it and click lots of picture. We can also connect the digital camera to our computer system or TV to view and enlarged version or to take a simple print out.

It all depends on what the camera is being used for. There are some effects that can only be done with film. Though that may change soon, the high end digitals can do just about everything a standard camera can and more. I just take snapshots and record images of my art so it's far easier, cheaper and more versatile to use a digital but if i were a photographer I'm sure I'd have both ;)

          Digital phones are definitely better.
