I found this coin several years ago and have just keep it in my jewerly box and i now wish to get rid of it to someone who will appreciate it's value.

Its value depends on it condition and if it has a mintmark. I am going to give you the values for all mintmark types in the condition that this coin is most commonly seen in. With no mintmark it is worth about $50, with an O mintmark it is worth about $80, and with an S mintmark it is worth about $500. Now you need to remember that since I can't see the coin these are only estimations. I highly suggest that you send it to a company called ANACS (try googling) and have them grade it. If you don't you won't get but a tenth of it's value whenever you decide to sell it.
