Is There A Tax Deduction (back Taxes) For Damages To My House Caused By Water Damaged, And Not Being Covered By My Home Insurance.

I am currently in a lawsuit, trying to get the insurance company to pay for the damages. But it has been 30 months since the incident, and I have been paying mortgage, 2nd mortgage, taxes, HOA dues and rent at another residence. My home is unrentable and virtually can't be sold. I am wondering if there is a tax break that I might be able to use, to help with my financial situation? Thanks

The insurance company has to pay the damage but if they have delayed then you could have the tax advantage as well. You need to submit your application to the local tax authorities and they could waive the amount.
