    I Have A Bedroom That Has Molded My Kids Beds Carpet And Walls Can I Make The Landlord Replace Them

    I have rented my house for over a year and now mold has grown in my 3rd bedroom it started in the carpet padding and went to the carpet and then the walls and has now gotten all over my kids beds can i make my landlord replace them

    No you can not make the landlord fix that problem because he/her will do it whenever they feel like it but it is a possibility that you can tell them that happened and then they might

      I would not worry if the Landlord replaced anything. I would be long gone. You should immediately let your Landlord know about the mold.
      It would be her responsibility to clear the place of tenants quickly.
      Once you tell her/him and nothing is done, call the law line on housing and the health department.  Mold can cause lifetime breathing ailments and kill. At least pull your children out of that room until you have some place to go.  It may be the responsibility of the landlord to assist you in finding another place. If she doesn't, The health department will know of organizations that will help relocate you.  Please know that it is your responsibility to provide a safe and healthy home for you children. You should let the landlord know prior to contacting anyone about the mold, as your landlord may take all the right steps without being told by officials to do so.
