My One Year Old Has Only Been Able To Pass One Solid Stool In The Past Year, He Just Has Persistent Diarrhea, What Could Be Wrong?

My son is about to turn one in less then a week. He has had persistent diarrhea for as long as I can remember. I've switched his formula to soy and still no progress. It's starting to worry me and I'm looking for what it could possibly be. Thank you.

I know this is going to sound weird, but he could have chronic constipation. My friends son just went through that and when she took him to the doctor, his whole instetine was full of doo. You need to get him to the doctor who will prescribe him something to help clean him out. Do you give him much water? I think she had to increase his water intake as well. I do know that he had some kind of liquid medicine he had to take as well as a sapository (spelling).
