Sarcodian also known as Amoeboids are cells that move or even feed on provisional projections. They are also known as false feet. Amoeboids may be alienated into more than a few morphological groups, which is either on the outward appearance and configuration of the pseudopods. The pseudopods are generally supported by standard arrays of microtubules, which are known as actinopods, and forms where they are not called rhizopods, which are further subdivided into lobse, filose, and reticulose amoebae.

The most famous organism that falls in this very category is Amoeba proteus; the name amoebae is used in many terms to describe its close connections, or even any kind of other organisms that are similar to it, or the amoeboids in wide-ranging.
