I Have An Minipin Mix And He's Not Fixed, Would I Be Able To Have Him In The House With A Female That Is Fixed Without It Being A Issue With Him?

I have a minipin mix breed and he is not fixed.I take to a kennel about getting another male but they had told me that it wouldn't be wise to get a male that is fixed and have one not.So I would like to know if I get a feamle that is fixed would it make a difference or not?

It should not be a problem as long as the female is fixed. Male dogs only react when the female goes into heat. With her being fixed she wont go into heat and he wont act crazy...lol

The first response is completely inaccurate. I have 2 dogs- 5 yr old female, spayed since 6 months old, and a 3 yr old male, neutered since 9 months old. The male attempts to mount the female a few times a week- and she has only gone into heat once in her life, right before she was spayed. He has never been around a female dog in heat, and yet, natural instincts prevail- so don't believe others who do not have experience owning both male and female dogs-
