I was written up when I took days off with a doctors note. I was also written up when on my way to work I was in a car accident and had to go to hospital I called in and she wrote me up.

It really depends on your state and status at your job. Compare the number of allowable sick days to your call-in's ; are you developing a pattern your employer may be concerned?
