Apart of Scottish country is also close to Northumberland on the north. Eighty miles of its border is hugged by North Sea. England is positioned in northwestern part of Europe and is one of the four countries that form a part of United Kingdom. This country is surrounded by North Sea, Irish Sea, Atlantic Sea, and English Channel.

    Northumberland covers an area of 5013 sq Km. The county has a complex history and was once considered to be area of Roman Empire. It is spread with flats lands, mountains and hills. The area has alluring landscapes and islands. It is home to Northumberland National park. The Chillingham Castle, Holy Island , Farne Island and Staple Island are places worth-visiting here.
