Where Can I Find An Inexpensive Akita Pup?

Akita pups can be very expensive, especially a pure breed. If you are not too choosy though, keep going to your local shelter and often you can find a mix breed Akita or even full breed. They can be very aggressive dogs and many owners don't know what they are getting into when they get one and wind up giving them up for adoption. Just keep watching and looking. If you have a female, if she is not spade, you might put an add in the local newspaper(s) or on Craig's list to try and find someone with a male and get some pups of your own. That actually might be best, Akita have been known to be territorial with their owners, space, attention etc. With her own pups though, they are just part of the pack, not a new addition to compete with.
