Take a match from a matchbox and light the match until it burns through the sulphur and extinguish it. Promptly touch the head of the match to the end of the tick. Repeat if necessary.

Get a pair of tweezers and grip as close to the skin on the tick. Pull slowly to remove it. Make sure you pulled the entire tick out because if you didn't get the head this may cause infection. Do not burn the tick.
