Why Do We Use Cars And Not Horses?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

In the days before the Industrial Revolution, there were no cars in the world. People would move around using carriages, chariots, and other vehicles drawn by horses and other pack animals. Travel in those days was a cumbersome affair that took a long time. In some parts of the world animals used included camels (in desert regions) and elephants (Asiatic countries) as well. However, the Industrial Revolution changed things around drastically. Mechanization became the order of the day. The concept of cars came in during this time, and suddenly, people found that they could travel in comfort and at speeds unbelievable when compared to the time travelling on a horse or other assorted animals took.

The progress from horses to cars is a sign of the evolution that has been happening in the human mind. We use cars basically because they help us to travel from Point A to Point B faster and more comfortably than on a horse. We do not have to tire out an animal any more to fulfil our travel needs. On the other hand, travelling on horses meant no pollution in those days.
