School spirit is great as it leads to pride in your learning establishment which in turn leads to you wanting to perform better as you gain pride and recognition from attending the establishment and participating in it's social activities.

I had a lot of school spirit my freshman year, but when I switched schools we couldn't paint our faces or dress up so my school spirit went down the drain. It is fun when they don't set rules.
