It is generally quiet simple to create a simple telescope. Select a cardboard tube and trim it down to the size of two focal lengths of the lenses. Now attach the lenses to each end of the tube with the help of a sticky tape, but make sure that you do not block the view through the tube.
Now with the help of a colour pencil or fellpen colour the end of the tube which has the shorter focal length lens so that you can determine which way round the telescope is. Now look through the end which you have just marked and you will come to known that you're seeing through a telescope.
A telescope basically is a device created for the observation of distant articles.
