Monuments are erected by man. Are you asking for natural wonders or are you asking for man made artifacts? You should explain your questions or phrase them better. As you put down earth science as the category that is what I will answer. I think that there is little in scope compared with the awe inspired by the Grand Canyon, but more unique choices might be the deep sea vents, or the cold water trench off California, or the fact that Yellowstone is a massive Volcano waiting to blow. There are a lot of places that are amazing deepending on what you are looking for.
