My dog has these bumps under her fur along her back. She doesn't seem to be irritated by it but it came on all of a sudden.

You could go to WebMD.com and they have a section where you can describe symptoms and such and they'll offer a number of ideas that it could be. You might be able to find something there and whatever is the closest to your situation, print it out and take it with you to your doctor. It certainly couldn't hurt.
