In What Year Did Liverpool Football Club First Win The FA Cup?

Liverpool Football club first won the FA Cup in the 1964-65 season after beating Leeds Utd two one after extra time at Wembley stadium.

It was Liverpools third appearance as FA Cup finalists having been beaten twice before. First by Burnley in the ninteen thirteen, fourteen final by a solitary goal to nil. The final was pre Wembley finals and the match was played at Crystal Palace.

It would be another thirty six years before Liverpool appeared in another FA Cup final, this time in the 1949-50 season, where their opponents this time would be Arsenal.

Liverpool lost the match two nil, although it was the clubs first appearance at a Wembley FA Cup final. They did take some small comfort in beating their Merseyside rivals Everton in the semi final at Villa park, two nil, to book their place at the twin towers.
