In this book, the handsome lad Richard who is the earl of Brampton has been forced to marry a dull girl named Margaret. He has been forced to produce an heir. He is not at all interested in Margaret even though he has married her. He still craves after the girl called Marie Antoinette. He had met her at an event of masked ball six years ago. But the twist in the story is that Marie Antoinette is none other than Margaret.
