No matter how far women have come, they are still in a "man's world". Women who succeed have to be tough. There is no room for "thin skin". You cannot let the comments of others affect you emotionally. If you do, you are sunk. Men might get away with throwing the occasional "hissy" fit, women cannot. They are considered "hormonal".
Women not only have to compete with men, they might find women even MORE difficult to work with.
It has been my experience that women are harder to work with than men. Don't ask me why. Perhaps they are more competitive?
And then there is the difficulty of balancing work and family. But that is a "comment" in it's self.
Don't get me wrong. Women can succeed. Just look at Sarah Palin. She does it all, and she does it well!
