Looe is located in the south-west of England. It is located within the district of Caradon at the eastern end of the county of Cornwall in England. Looe itself is a coastal town which is very popular amongst tourists. Looe is divided by the River Looe into eastern and western parts.

The island of Looe called alternatively as St. George's Island is located a mile off shore from the town of Looe. The Cornwall Wildlife trust was gifted the island by Evelyn and Babs Atkins. The island is known for its outstanding beauty.

Looe's attractions include the Looe Harbour quay which sees a lot of hustle and bustle when the fishing fleet returns; it is also a visual spectacle to observe the changes the tide causes around the harbour. West and East Looe beaches, Looe's famous pier, the old guildhall which was the town's original town hall and the towns on both sides of the river including their many seagulls are the other attractions that Looe has to offer.
