Does A Bearded Dragon Need Live Food?
I really want a bearded dragon but my partner can't stand the idea of the live food. Is it possible to get frozen or dried food that they can live on without needing the live food?

Bearded dragons are amazing pets. They are so tame once handled daily. A young bearded dragon should be fed veg (cabbage, leak, dandelion leaves, carrot etc) and live food (crickets, locust, mealworms etc) however, once the bearded dragon is an adult, it should be fed live food one day and veg the next day... this must be continued each day. They can be gready animals so when feeding live, depending on the size only feed so much e.g. when feeding an adult large crickets, it should have about 4 in the morning and 4 at night depending on its size and age - not a whole tub!! They must be sprayed a couple of times a day with lukewarm water. The live food gives them the protein they require and the veg is mainly for their gums and teeth.
