The Spanish American war refers to a conflict between Spain and USA during April to August 1898. This war occurred because of Cuban fight for Independence and American demand from Spain to end this fight. The Treaty of Paris ended the conflict, which was signed after America's military victory over Spain in Cuba.

Whereas the World War 1 was fought from 1914 to 1918, amongst two groups of countries. One group was led by France, Russia, UK, Italy and USA, whereas the other group had Germany, Bulgaria and the ottoman Empires. World War 1 had a global impact on the geography of the countries involved.
