    It was on 20th July that the Bengal lawmaking congress met and determined by 126 to 90 votes in good turn of joining a new essential legislative body. The members of West Bengal, the non-Muslim mainstream areas, decided by 58 to 21 votes to join the obtainable essential legislative body and that the province should be partitioned. The members from the Muslim majority areas (East Bengal) decided by 106 to 35 votes to join a new essential legislative body and that the province should not be partitioned. They also had chosen with the same strength in good deed of merger of Sylhet with Bengal.

    The members from the Punjab legislative body decided by 91 to 27 votes to join a new essential legislative body, West Punjab, the Muslim popular area decided by 69 to 27 votes against the dividing wall of the province. East Punjab the non-Muslim-majority area decided by 50 to 22 votes to join the obtainable Indian essential legislative body and that the province should be partitioned.

    The Sindh legislative body met on 26th June and decided by 30 votes to 20 to join a new essential legislative body.In Baluchistan Shahi Jirga and non-official members of the Quetta metropolitans met and generally decided to join a new essential legislative body.
