Where Does The Surname French Come From?
It is my last name and I would like to know where it comes from

French is an English & Scottish Surname. The name is used as an ethnic name for someone from France and in some cases it is used as a nickname for someone who adopted French airs.
Secondly the name is used as a variant of Anglo-Norman French Frain.
