What Does It Mean If A Female Parakeet Looses Feathers?
I have a male and female (it appears) and the female seems to be loosing feathers around her booty. Also she doesn't seem to have taken a bath there. She also has learned a new - different sound. What could be wrong with her? Is she trying to lay an egg?

It is quite possible that that is the case. She may be laying an egg. It could also just be her time to molt. Birds shed some feathers at certain times each year, similar to dogs getting a summer and winter coat and shedding the previous seasons coat.

It's bored. Try placing it with a mate or change the existing one if available.
