    Yes certainly. Establishing a course of action is simple. First one must know what ones short term and long term goals are. These goals need to be very specific. They need to have goals that can actually be achieved specifically. So rather than 'increase profit'. You should specifically name it as 'increase profit in the area of A, B and C by - and this is where the idea of action takes place.

    Once you have established a very specific goal, one should begin to consider the course of action. A course of action is really a chain of actions that lead to a goal. It is best to consider it as a set of steps that you have to take. For instance, if your goal is to : lose ten pounds, the steps might be:

    1) Eat only fresh food
    2) Eat only piece of junk food per week as a treat
    3) Increase my personal intake of water
    4) Go the gym three times per week
    5) Measure my progress weekly only.

    It's all about specificity of goals and steps of action, smaller goals can lead to large goals.

      Setting goals in life is important as they tell you what you want from your life and which direction you want to go. To accomplish anything in life the best way is to set goals. You know what is important for you and you know your distractions when you set your goals.

      It is important to set short term goals as well as long term goals. Short term goals are more achievable and are a stepping stone for your mid term and long term goals. When you set a short term goal you give yourself a clear timeframe in which you have to achieve your target.

      The first step is writing down the goals you want to achieve. Writing them down gives you and your sub conscience an indication that you are serious about them. After writing them, put them in such a place where you can see them daily and they serve as a reminder for you.

      Give yourself a deadline to get to these goals. Your goals should be realistic, smart, achievable and specific. They should not be general but very clear and not very dramatic. Your short term goals when completed and achieved give you a boost of self confidence.

      After achieving your short term goals put them in perspective so that they can ultimately lead to achievement of your long tem goals.
