This type of cancer generally forms in the womb and therefore it is a condition which only really affects women. Many people do not realise that there are actually two different types of Uterus cancer and those are generally 'Endometrial Cancer' and 'Uterine Cancer'. Endometrial Cancer is basically a cancer which affects the reproductive system of the woman and Uterine Cancer is a cancer which develops in the tissue lining of the Uterus.
In some cases Uterus Sarcomas occur when the cancer grows into the muscles in the Uterus. However, only a few cases of Uterus Cancer have Uterus Sarcomas. Overall the cancer can affect every woman, though there are some cases where some women are more at risk than others. As with a lot of other health problems, Uterus Cancer tends to occur more after the menopause. A common symptom of the condition is abnormal bleeding and unfortunately many women think it is a sign of the menopause.
