    When A Landlord Sells The Property, When Is Notice Given To The Renters That They Have To Move? At Closing, Or Before? And How Much Time Are Renters Allowed To Move Belongings?

    A couple came to our house today, telling us (renter's) that they are closing on purchasing our house in 15 days. We have not received a notice from the owner or real estate agent, but the new purchasers want to move into the house immediately. How long do we have?

    The laws may be different in your state but usually the person buying a rented house also buys the lease. If you are no longer under a lease then you may be out of luck. The house becomes theirs on closing day.
