If An Employer Advertises To Their New Hires That They Provide Vacation And Holiday Pay But Fail To Explain That It Is Only According To Contract Agreements, Do They Have To Pay?

All employees hired by my company are given materials stating the vacation and holiday pay eligibility after one year and the holidays that are observed by the company, but they fail to tell them after they have been on the job for a few months and the issue comes up that we don't get holiday pay or paid vacation time. Are they Liable?

I would report them to the bureau of wage and labor statistics. BUT only after I first found another job and second, started working there. Unfortunately, there is not much integrity left in the business world and whoever can get away with shady tactics will usually at least try to now. They are well aware that you probably do not have a class action suit that a lawyer would seek and certainly do not have the money to hire a lawyer for a private suit. It is kind of a tough world. SOUNDS real illegal to me.
